Valentine's day.
The most important monument to the greatest love story of medieval Europe is in Geddington.
Still looking down the same streets it did 700 years ago. The same streets that the very same lovers, the King and Queen of England, walked. Nearby is the same church where a village and king mourned her loss, and just a short distance away is the same bridge that would carry her body. Behind all that, was their royal palace, which can still be found if you know how to look.
Retrace their steps on Valentine’s Day and hear about their love story, and more. Why not bring your love story to join theirs? There will be chocolates, cards and roses for all on the day, to keep, or give to a loved one. Other dates can be arranged easily by emailing us at toursbykam@gmail.com.
And because there are many shades of love, and many stories to tell, we are also asking that you might bring something for our local foodbanks, and half of the profits for this walk will also go to them. All donations are needed, and dry or tinned foods like tinned meat and pies etc pasta sauce, pasta would be most appreciated. If you are interested, please book, and if the dates are not possible for you, I’m sure I can schedule alternate dates.
